FAQ

GLP-1s (Semaglutide/ Tirzepatide) have shown promising results in supporting weight loss. They work by mimicking a hormone in your body that helps regulate appetite and food intake, making you feel fuller for longer and reducing your overall food cravings. In short they promotes the body to operate and use the food we consume more efficiently.

Great question! While taking GLP-1s, it's important to maintain a balanced diet. You can still enjoy your favorite snacks in moderation, although you may find you no longer crave those foods. Incorporating healthier choices will optimize your weight loss journey.

Absolutely, we understand your concern. GLP-1s, like any medication, may have some side effects, but they are generally mild and temporary. Common ones include nausea and digestive discomfort, but rest assured, our team will guide you on how to manage these effects, and they often subside as your body adjusts to the medication.

While using GLP-1s injection, inject the missed dose as soon as you remember it. However, if more than 5 days passed since the missed dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not inject a double dose to make up for a missed one.

The positive effects will last in the body for a while after discontinuing, but maintaining the healthy diet, lifestyle choices and proportions you learn while on GLP-1s will ensure the weight doesn't come back.

Yes, while GLP-1s does work without a restrictive diet, Beautiful You Wellness has its own diet and exercise plan we offer for clients to use while on GLP-1s and after they stop to help maintain results. This diet and exercise plan was vetted and approved by multiple extensively educated personal trainers. It is a wealth of foundational knowledge for all individuals especially while on peptides.

Start by setting realistic goals and creating a plan that includes both diet and exercise. Focus on making small, sustainable changes to your daily habits, such as increasing your water intake, eating more fruits and vegetables, and incorporating regular physical activity into your routine. Cutting out all highly processed foods and fast food. This would be a great first step.

Opt for whole, unprocessed foods whenever possible and aim to include a balance of plant based proteins, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables in your meals. Pay attention to portion sizes and practice mindful eating by savoring each bite and listening to your body's hunger and fullness cues. Eat until you are 80% full, then stop.

Exercise plays a crucial role in weight loss by helping to burn calories and build lean muscle mass. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity activity each week, along with strength training exercises to help boost metabolism and tone your muscles.

Starting out with shorter duration time periods of moving your body is a good placed to start.

Sustain your activity by engaging in ways to move your body that you enjoy.

Adequate sleep is essential for overall health and can have a significant impact on weight management. Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night to support optimal metabolism, hormone regulation, and energy levels. Prioritize establishing a consistent sleep schedule and creating a relaxing bedtime routine.

Find ways to stay motivated by setting short-term and long-term goals, tracking your progress, and celebrating your successes along the way. Engage in activities that you enjoy. Exercise does not necessarily mean going to the gym!

Surround yourself with a supportive community of friends, family, or a weight loss support group, and don't be afraid to seek professional guidance from our team for nutritional weight loss coaching if needed.

Avoid fad diets and extreme restrictions, as they are often unsustainable and can lead to nutrient deficiencies or rebound weight gain. Instead, focus on building healthy, balanced habits that you can maintain for the long term. Be mindful of emotional eating triggers and find alternative coping strategies, such as practicing mindfulness or engaging in stress-relieving activities like yoga or meditation.

Plateaus are a common part of the weight loss journey and can be overcome. Incorporating more plant based proteins, increasing your water intake and getting adequate sleep.

When reassessing your habits, try adjusting your calorie intake or exercise routine, and incorporating variety into your diet and workouts. Focus on non-scale victories, such as improvements in energy levels or clothing fit, and stay patient and consistent in your efforts.
